PHN’s Best shots of the Game: Point Dropped After Overtime Bees 1 Wildcats 2

TSI World Bracknell Bees 1 Swindon Wildcats 2
After overtime

Both teams got off to a scratchy start in an evenly matched first period. Chances came at both ends but both goaltenders kept the sheet clean for the opening period.

The second period was similar to the first setting up a tense and thrilling third period.

Swindon scored the opening goal 3.16 into the period thanks to Edgars Bebris but with 1.55 left to play Roman Malinik found the equaliser on a delayed penalty to make it 1-1 and send the game to overtime.

A tripping penalty assessed against Robin Kovar following a Wildcats breakaway saw Bees shorthanded and it would be with the man advantage that an Aaron Nell one-timer would provide the winner 53 seconds into sudden death.

Bracknell: Malinik 1+0; Smith, Knaggs 0+1. Net Goss (60.53) 34/2
Swindon: Bebris 1+1; Nell 1+0; Plews, Rutkis, Malasinski 0+1. Net: Marr (60.53) 19/1
