Before a crowd of 3,929 fans, the hometown Erie Otters soundly defeated the Owen Sound Attack 5 -0.
The Otters controlled play from start to finish and had a fantastic game in net by Devin Williams, who ended up as the first star of the game.
Kyle Marksimovich opened the scoring at 14:53 of the first period on an unassisted goal.
At 15:28 Taylor Raddysh followed up with assists from Travis Dermott, the recently named OHL defenseman of the month, and top prospect Alex DeBrincat.
In the second period, Jordan Sambrook scored the only goal with assists to Nick Betz and Dermott’s 2nd assist of the night.
The third period saw two more goals by the Otters, scored by Nick Betz and Vanya Lodnia.
Darren Raddysh and T J Fergus had assists on the Betz goal, while Sambrook and Jake Marchment assisted on the Lodnia goal.
