ANNAPOLIS, MD: Friday night was supposed to be the first game for the Navy Midshipmen Women’s Ice Hockey team, but the opponent was forced to cancel. 
Not wanting the ice time to go to waste, coach Ashley Harper found a local women’s team, the Osprey, to come and have a scrimmage.
The majority of the Navy team wore their blue jerseys, but a few wore their white jerseys and played with the visiting Osprey.
The team is scheduled to play the University of Maryland on Friday, October 15, 2021.
