MELBOURNBE, Australia – The Sydney Ice Dogs were in Melbourne last weekend and
left with their tails docked and a pair of losses including a dreadful, 13-0 pasting at the hands of the Mustangs in Melbourne.
Brendan McDowell opened the scoring early in the first when the Mustangs built a 3-0 lead after the first period. McDowell had a hat trick for the game and four points.
Jamie Bourke had two goals and four assists for the Mustangs.
Fraser Carson stopped all 25 shots he faced for the shutout.
