PHN’s Best Shots of the Game: Monsters Spook Wolves in a 4-1 Win

Rosemont, IL The Chicago Wolves (30-33-5-3)lost their edge against the visiting Lake Erie Monsters (39-21-5-5) at the Allstate Arena Saturday evening.

Lake Erie score 3 goals in the third period to give them a 4-1 win. Wolves left wing Jordan Caron’s gave the Wolves a spark with a power-play goal in the second period to put the Wolves in a 1-1 tie.

That didn’t stop the Monsters from taking control in the third period to add on to their ongoing winning streak to five games.

Lake Erie defenseman Steve Emin ger put one on the board first for the Monsters at 7:11 in the first period.

The Wolves would come back and get one of their own at 8:41 of the second period with Jordan Caron’s unassisted power-play goal.

The Monsters would come out hungry with the lead in the third period at 5:00 when Monsters center Michael Chaput redirected shot passed Wolves goaltender Pheonix Copley.

Lake Erie would then add another goal at 9:12 in the third period when Monsters left winger Kerby Rychel had fired a shot on a 2-1 rush when Monsters center T.J Tynan would get the rebound to make it

Monsters had one more left in them when Josh Anderson’s breakaway goal gave Lake Erie the final nail in coffin to seal the deal.

The Wolves travel to Grand Rapids next Friday at 7:00 p.m.
