The Mississauga Steelheads dropped a 6-3 decision to the Erie Otters this past Friday evening in front of 2784 fans at the Hershey Centre.
The Erie Otters Alex DeBrincat opened the scoring at the five-minute mark assisted by both N. Baptiste and K. MacDermid.
The Otters scored their second goal just 2:52 later at 7:52 by Cory Genovese assisted by N. Baptiste and A. DeBrincat.
Steelhead’s Josh Burnside scored on the power play at 18:26 assisted by J Lodge and B. Devlin.
Less than a minute later the Otters regained their two-goal lead when Dylan Stome put one past Mississauga’s net minder, Leif Hertz at 19:17 assisted by P Murphy and N. Betz.
The second period produced four more goals starting with Erie Otters Dylan Strome while on the power play assisted by A. DeBrincat and T. Dermott at 1:51.
The Otters Trent Fox, while on the power play, scored at 7:10 assisted by both D. Stome and T. Dermott. Mississauga’s Lucas Venuto scored in the last minute of the period at 19:36 assisted by B. Devlin. With just three seconds left in the period, Mississauga’s Michael McCleod, scored assisted by S. Day and J. Lodge.
The third period saw only one goal and that was from Erie’s Kyle Pettit at 1:46 assisted by P. Fellows and T. Dermott.
