ANNAPOLIS, Md – The 11th ranked Lebanon Valley College Dutchmen proved to be too much for the home team Naval Academy Midshipmen on Friday night at McMulen Arena in Annapolis, Maryland.
The Midshipmen kept it close through two periods trailing 2 – 1, but the Dutchmen took control in the third period outscoring Navy 4 -1 including an empty netter, for a 6-2 final.
The goal scorers for LVC were Joey LaBonte, Travis Acker with 2 goals, Matthew Reno, Eric Higgins and Nicholas Skerlick. Navy goals were scored by Nicholas Mantz and Matthew Caine.
In net for LVC, was Joel Eisenhower who made 20 saves on 22 shots. Matthew Truninger played the first 50 minutes in net for Navy making 28 saves on 33 shots, while James OHalloran made saves on both shots he faced.
