PHN’s Best Shots of the Game: Jacksonville blanks Orlando

JACKSONVILLE, FLA – The Jacksonville Icemen turned on the offense and defense in a 5-0 rout of the Solar Bears in front of a packed house at Veterans Memorial Arena on Friday, December 28th. Tanner Jaillet stopped 19 shots on the way to his first pro shutout, while once again the Wacey Rabbit-Garrett Ladd-Maxime Fortier line proved successful more than once.

Rabbit struck for a pair of goals while Ladd (2 assists) and Fortier (assist) led the way. The trio have combined for six goals and 12 assists in their last three games.

Jake Randolph scored the eventual game-winning goal 1:15 into the first period on a wraparound. Rabbit followed with the next two, one late in the first period and a short-handed tally in the third. Kris Newbury and Dajon Mingo put the game away with goals 50 seconds apart late in the final frame.

Newbury was the game third star with Rabbit at number two and Jaillet earning the number one star of the game.
