PHN’s Best Shots of the Game: Idaho defeats Tulsa 4-2

phn-bsogTULSA, Okla. – A crowd of 7,327 witnessed the Idaho Steelheads spoil teddy bear toss night for the Tulsa Oilers to the tune of 4-2 Friday at the BOK Center.

The Oilers got on the board 5:21 into the game when Brian Nugent picked up a pass from Jordan Kremyr and slip behind the Steelheads defense to score a shorthanded goal and sending teddy bears flying onto the ice.

Kyle Jean evened things up six minutes later, sending a backhander past Oilers goalie Kevin Carr on assists from Andre Bouvet-Morrissette and Emil Molin.

Aaron Harstad scored his second goal in as many games just 46-seconds into the second period to put Tulsa on top, 2-1. Dennis Brown and Phil Brewer assisted on Harstad’s goal.

Jefferson Dahl evened the score at 2-2 just under three minutes later, shoveling in a backhanded shot off a rebound.

Zack Kamrass netted the would-be game winner 7:07 into the final period during a five-on-three power play. Taking a pass from Zach Yuen at the top of the right circle, Kamrass sent a one-timer through traffic and into the net to make it 3-2.

Corbin Baldwin added an empty net goal at 18:40 to ice the game for Idaho, sending the puck down ice off of a draw just outside the Tulsa zone.

Idaho out-shot Tulsa 38-25 on the night as they improved to 8-14-4-0. Tulsa falls to 9-10-1-1 after failing to climb above the .500 mark for the first time this season.

Idaho travels to Allen to take on the Americans in a 4:05pm CST contest on Sunday, while Tulsa hosts the streaking Missouri Mavericks on Sunday at the BOK Center with a 4:05pm CST opening face off. Missouri is looking to extend its winning streak to 15 games and win its second-straight against Tulsa.
