PHN’s Best Shots of the Game: Icemen bitten by Everblades

JACKSONVILLE, FL – The Jacksonville Icemen were unable to snap the Florida Everblades’ seven-game win streak on Thursday, April 5th, falling to the league-leaders 5-1 at Veterans Memorial Arena. With the win, the Everblades claimed the Brabham Cup as champions of the regular season.

The Icemen were tasked with an uphill climb early in the game when Sam Warning put the Everblades on the board just over one minute into the first period. Shortly after, Logan Roe would add another tally for Florida. Joe Cox and Justin Kea also notched goals for the Everblades making it 4-0 at the end of the first frame.

Early in the second period, Everett Clark was able to put Jacksonville on the board with a feed from Cody Fowlie and Dajon Mingo at 5:12. Florida would answer back when Kyle Neuber became the fifth Everblades player with a goal on the night. The third period would end scoreless.
