PHN’s Best Shots of the Game: Ice edge Mustangs Close match ends with three late Ice goals

MELBOURNE, Australia – The Melbourne Mustangs’ Brendan McDowell scored with less than five minutes to go in regulation in their match with the Ice on Thursday. The goal tied the game at two all and seemed to point to extra time.

But the Ice’s Paul Kurceba scored just 19 seconds later to give the Ice a 3-2 lead en PHN_BSOG-200x133route to a 5-2 win over the Mustangs.

Matt Armstrong finished off the scoring with two empty netters at 32 and 4 seconds.

Jaden Pine-Murphy got the win in net for the Ice on the strength of 29 saves.

Fraser Carson took the loss on 38 saves off 41 shots.
