PHN’s Best Shots of the Game: Ice and Adrenaline mix it up in two-game set

MELBOURNE, Australia – In the front end of a two-game set, both the Melbourne Ice and Adelaide Adrenaline started sluggish and it was the the ice to score the first goal by Tommy Powell which was high over goalie left shoulder and it was on PP.

Adelaide responded in the second through Jonathon Boxhill, he was left unmaked and was able to score with alot of time and space.

PHN_BSOG-200x133Armstrong was on a breakaway and Tommy Powell was able to sore on the top shelf on a rebound in the second so it was 2-1

The third Adelaide Tyler was able to score quickly and make the scores 2 all.

Adelaide was able then very quickly were able to get another two scores  Surprisingly Adelaide were able to come out on top with 14 penalties for 68 PIM and Ice had eight penalties for a total of 24 PIM. For the duration of the game it was wither a PK or a PP for both teams.

Melbourne Ice Scorer was Tommy Powell with two goals and assists going to Matt Armstrong and Mitch Humpries.

Adelaide scorers were Tyler Grove with two goals, Jonathon Boxhill and Wehebe Darge on one goal each and seven players with assists.

In the second of the set, both sides had lifted and came out fighting. Melbourne Ice were the first to score through Lliam Webster within the first three minuets of the game. It then took five mins for the Adelaide to respond to evan up the scores. The game was allowed to flow and it was a great game between the two sides. At the end of full time the score was four all forcing the game into a Shoot out. With Melbourne Ice overcoming the Adelaide 5-4

Ice had a total of three penalties for six PIM and Adelaide had a total of two penalties for four PIM.
