PHN’s Best Shots of the Game: Havoc Blank the Cottonmouths 4-0 in Front of Sell Out Crowd at the Von Braun Center

HUNTSVILLE, AL – The Havoc score three in the second while Tyler Steel stops 22 to register the 4-0 win over the Columbus Cottonmouths in front of a sell-out crowd at the Von Braun Center.

“We said it tonight and we will say it every night, it’s how we control ourselves and it’s what we do as a team” said Johnny Daniels. “We know we have the skill and the ability to play and beat anyone and it’s up to us and we want to come together as a group in the locker room and when we come out and play at our top game we are tough to beat.”

Before the game it was announced the Havoc would insert John Lidgett and Nolan Kaiser back into the lineup starting tonight and for Kaiser it was a home coming to remember.

“It’s definitely nice being back in Huntsville,” says Kaiser. “We hadn’t been here for quite a bit and you know the fans will be behind us who are the best fans in the league.”

Huntsville, seeing action at the Von Braun Center for the first time in seven games, registered the game’s first goal for the second time of the year against the Columbus Cottonmouths. Kaiser grabbed his second goal of the year while finding a loose puck just laying in the slot area. With assists coming to Johnny Daniels and Dylan Nowakowski, the Havoc took a 1-0 lead into the second.

In the second, the Havoc opened the gates with the first of three in the frame scored off the stick of Dylan Nowakowksi who was sent a pass from Daniels and Sy Nutkevtich.

Later on in the period while on another Audi of Huntsville power play opportunity, Lou Educate would pick up his 14th of the year on a one-time feed by Stuart Stefan and Daniels. The man-advantage goal was the second in as many nights for the Havoc.

But Huntsville did not let up on the pressure and Daniels, who was awarded for his hard work and assisting on the first three Havoc goals, wrapped the puck around the cage and potted it home for the game’s fourth goal and his ninth of the year and fifth as a Havoc. The goal was assisted by Kaiser and Nutkevitch.

“It’s a really hard working team and I love buying into that mentality,” said Daniels. “Glenn always says hard work pays off and that’s one thing that always control and it worked out tonight.”

In the third it was the Steel show as Tyler stopped all seven shots faced to help register Huntsville’s fourth straight victory.

“I’m feeling good out there and feeling confident while seeing the puck well,” said Steel. “The most important thing is getting the win, and no matter personal stats it’s a team game and I’m out there trying to stop every puck that comes my way.”
