Over the weekend, the Stoney Creek Generals mustered up a slid offensive effort in a 9-6 win over the Dundas Real McCoys.
Matthew Bragg and Justin Donati got things going in the first period with a pair of goals.
Cam Fergus added to the lead early in the middle frame but then the two teams traded goals back and forth as they abandoned the defense in seven-goal period.
After 40 minutes of play the Generals’ lead was cut to one goal in a 5-4 score.
Ryan Watson contributed to the mayhem on the scoresheet for Dundas with a hat trick in the second period.
For the Generals, Matt Smith provided the spark in the final period with a hat trick of his own as Stoney Creek posted four goals to give the Generals a 9-6 win.
Dave Brown got the win for the Generals on 23 saves; Mike Mole took the loss on 39 saves.
