PHN’s Best Shots of the Game: Generals cruise past Steelhawks

It was a road trip weekend for the Stoney Creek Generals, after an unsuccessful visit to Brantford, the Generals made the short drive to the Dave Andreychuk arena in Hamilton to face off against the Hamilton Steelhawks.

Hamilton’s Josh McQuade wasted no time by scoring on their first shot on net versus Dan Svedin. Unfortunately for Hamilton, the Generals would answer that goal 12 times by the end of the game.

General Jarrett Konkle earned himself 5 points in this outing with 3 goals and 2 assists while teammates Nathan Pageau also earning himself 5 points with 2 goals and 3 assists, Cam Fergus, Sean Blanchard, Igor Gongalsky and newest General Cody Thornton earning 3 points each respectively.

The Generals split the weekend road trip games leaving them in 1st place with 42 points and a 14-4-1 record with 5 games remaining in the regular season.

Stoney Creek has a break this upcoming weekend and will be back in action vs the 2nd place Whitby Dunlops in Whitby on Saturday February 11 at 6:30PM.
