LEHIGH VALLEY, Pa – The Philadelphia Flyers opened their preseason Monday night in Allentown, the home of the Phantoms their AHL affiliate.
“I thought the atmosphere here was pretty good,” Flyers head coach Dave Hakstol said in a Phantoms release. “What a great building. First class from top to bottom.”
The Flyers “hosted” the New York Islanders in front of 7,981 fans.
The Flyers used a pair of goals from Jake Voracek to down the Isles, 5-3.
