PHILADELPHIA – The Washington Capitals jumped to an early 1-0 lead over the Flyers on Saturday night off a goal from Aliaksei Protas.
That was all the visitors could muster.
Martin Jones made 21 saves for Philadelphia in a 3-1 win.
Claude Giroux tied the game 1-1 before the end of the opening frame.
Cam Atkinson put the Flyers ahead, 2-1, with two minutes gone in the third period.
Scott Laughton‘s breakaway goal with just over three minutes left in the game sealed the win.
Ilya Samsonov made 28 saves in the loss.
