PHN’s Best Shots of the Game: Eagles double-up Americans 4-2 in Game 3

LOVELAND, Colo. – Eagles scored the first goal of the game for the third game in a row to defeat the Americans to go up 3 to 0 in the best of seven series

Despite Allen’s determination and drive Colorado never trailed in the match and took the 4 to 2 win while outshooting the Americans 30 to 27 despite going 1 for 4 on the power play while Allen scored both goals on their six  man advantage situations.

Scoring for the Eagles was Jake Marto in the first period while Alex Belzile added his first goal in the second frame.  Luke Salazar tallied the eventual game winning goal in the third period along with Belzile’s empty net goal for his second of the night.

David Makowski got Allen on the board late in the first period and Americans Captain former Eagle, Chad Costello, converted on the power play early in the third period to account for the team scoring.

These same two teams meet Thursday May 4th at the Budweiser Events Center in Loveland, Co. for a possible series finale in Game 4.
