PHN’s Best Shots of the Game: Eagles and Steelheads need overtime in game 2; Eagles win 2-1

LOVELAND, Colo. – Game two of the Kelly Cup Mountain Division semi finals took only 1:05 of the first overtime period to decide the winner. Colorado Eagle and the ECHL defensman of the year, Matt Register, blasted a shot past the Steelheads Landon Bow to even the series at 1 game each.

A late second period goal from Rob Linsmayer gave Idaho the lead which held up through most of the third until Alex Belzile’s goal tied the game at 5:43. Despite each team madly working to get the game winner in regulation it took a very short amount of time in the extra period to for Matt Register to tie the series as the two teams head to Idaho for the next three games.
