SAN JOSE, Calif. – The San Jose Sharks hosted the Calgary Flames at the SAP Center, before 17,562 fans. Calgary came out the victor 24 seconds into overtime for the 4-3 win.
The first period, goals from Dennis Wideman and Joe Colborne gave the Flames the early win. In the second period, the Sharks came back and took the lead, with goals from Logan Couture, Joe Thornton and Melker Karlsson in the first nine minutes. But the lead wouldn’t last, as Jiri Hudler scored at 11:32 to knot the teams at 3-3, where they would remain throughout regulation play.
