The Bees took an early lead thanks to a Josh Martin goal at 4.33 but Brandon Whistle levelled the score at 7.57. Zack Milton restored the lead at 8.56 for a 2-1 opening period.

The second period saw the Tigers draw level again with a powerplay goal from Scott McKenzie at 27.48 which was the only goal of the period.

The Bees were 3-2 ahead at 53.17 thanks to Roman Malinik but Corey Goodison levelled at 54.29 forcing the game to overtime.

The extra period only lasted 3.26 with a slashing penalty being called against Ross Kennedy at 61.42 Bees converted the advantage for the winning goal when Roman Malinik’s drive bounced off the back boards to Edward Knaggs to complete the game winning goal.
