
TSI World Bracknell Bees 11 Raiders IHC 4
Formerly signed to the Bees, Greg Blais got the start in net for the Raiders with Adam Goss guarding the home team’s pipes. James Galazzi was the first to score at 4.37 bringing the teddy bears out onto the ice for the Daisy’s Dream teddy bear toss. Luke Jackson added a second for the home team at 4.58 before Blahoslav Novak scored a powerplay goal at 15.55 to keep the scoreline close after the opening period.

Thomas Adams replaced Greg Blais for the second period and the Bees set about opening their lead. Aidan Doughty netted on the powerplay at 23.18 for 3-1 but Jake Sylvester scored a powerplay goal at 25.05. Dominik Gabaj netted at 26.12 but his was matched with Aaron Connolly scoring at 26.49. Two back to back goals from debutant Caly Robertson did open a gap at 27.55 and 31.57.

The opening 10 minutes of the third period saw no additions to the scoring but Gabaj’s second at 52.41 opened the flood gates. Josh Ealey-Newman scored at 53.01 before Brandon Ayliffe netted the Raiders’ fourth at 54.47. Bees hadn’t finished yet though with Zack Milton scoring at 55.00 before a shorthanded strike from Gabaj at 58.19 completed his hattrick. Josh Martin scored an unassisted goal at 59.22 to bring up the Bees eleventh of the night.
