PHN’s Best Shots of the Game: Bees 7 Steel Dogs 1

TSI World Bracknell Bees 7 Sheffield Steeldogs 1

Following the heartbreak of an overtime loss the previous night the Bees weren’t off to the best of starts when they conceded in early powerplay which James Spurr converted for a Steeldogs lead at 1.29. A Josh Ealey-Newman strike at 15.00 levelled the game and the Bees headed to the first interval with momentum in their favour.

It took just 30 seconds of the second period for Dominik Gabaj to score the game winning goal with the man advantage and when Steeldogs next offered a powerplay it was Aidan Doughty on hand to score at 26.45. Roman Malinik bagged a pair at 27.39 and 35.19 for a perfect 4-0 middle period which also saw Dmitri Zimozdra removed from the net after Malinik’s second.

Despite the change of netminders Bees added two more in the final period with Gabaj’s second coming at 40.18 and Doughty also netting a second at 46.52.
