PHNs Best Shots of the Game: Barracuda stump Heat

SAN JOSE, Calif. – Goaltender Jon Gillies stopped 25 of the 27 shots he faced Saturday afternoon at SAP Center, but the Stockton Heat could not generate the offense and fell to the San Jose Barracuda 2-0.

The Barracuda played the matinee game in honor of military veterans, as they sported the red, white and blue colors of the American Flag with their logo on the front;  Including a field of stars on their arms and legs.

It was a positive night for the Heat in terms of generating opportunities on the man advantage, seeing eight power-play chances come their way, but Mantas Armalis and San Jose’s top-ranked penalty kill stood tall and led the Barracuda to the win.

The Stockton Heat will now return home to the friendly confines of Stockton Arena for three-straight contests, beginning with a FridaySaturday back-to-back against the Bakersfield Condors next weekend.

Here’s a few of the best shots from that game, shot by Jack Lima.
