ALLEN, Texas – The Allen Americans (8-3-0) defeated the Wichita Thunder (4-7-0) by a 5-2 score on Tuesday night in front of 3,785 at Allen Event Center.
Chad Costello had two goals and an assist to lead the way for Allen, while David Makowski scored twice for the Americans, his second and third of the year. Eric Roy has now scored in three straight games picking up his 4th of the season. The Americans had a goal wiped out tonight; the sixth goal scored by Casey Pierro Zabotel was disallowed because of a clock error.

The Americans had not given up a shorthanded goal until tonight.
The Americans are back in action on Friday night in Tulsa against the Oilers at 7:05 pm. Allen has back to back games against Colorado on Saturday and Sunday, with Sunday being Faith and Family Day at the Event Center.
