Allen, Texas – The Allen Americans completed the weekend sweep of the Wichita Thunder with a 4-3 shootout victory on Sunday afternoon at Allen Event Center.
Tristan King scored the game winner in a shootout for Allen as the Americans won their third straight and the team has now picked up at least a point in 11 straight home games. Vincent Arseneau scored for the fourth straight game for Allen while Chad Costello picked up his 76th point of the season. Justin Courtnall scored his third shorthanded goal of the year.
The Americans return to action next Saturday night in Colorado against the Eagles as Allen will take their final long bus trip of the season. The team will play in Rapid City a week from today.
