PHN’s Best Shots of the Game: Americans third period rally leads to 5-3 win over Wichita

Allen, Texas – The Allen Americans erased a 2-1 third period deficit to charge ahead to a 5-3 win over the Wichita Thunder on Friday night at Allen Event Center in front of 4,455 fans.

Bryan Moore netted his first hat trick of the season, a natural hat trick, leading the Allen charge with his 12th, 13th and 14th goals of the season to earn the number one star of the game.  Zach Hall had a goal and an assist to earn the number two star of the night, while Jamie Murray stopped 38 of 41 shots to earn his 5th straight win.

“I’m feeling good out there,” said Moore, who has 13 goals in his last 11 games. “Our line was really clicking tonight. Zach Hall was flying around out there making things happen. We have a great group of guys on and off the ice.”

Chad Costello and Eric Roy each had two-point nights for Allen, while David Makowski extended his point streak to 11 games. Ryan Rupert had a goal and an assist in a losing effort for Wichita, who dropped their fifth game to Allen in six tries.

The Americans extended their winning streak to a season-high six games. The Americans resume action on Sunday afternoon at 4:05 PM against the Missouri Mavericks.
