Lindsay Sparks scored his second of the night at the 1:02 mark of the extra session to lift the Missouri Mavericks to a 5-4 overtime win.
Spencer Asuchak finished the night with a goal and an assist for Allen. It was the 4thstraight game he had at least one goal. Tanner Eberle netted his first professional goal, in his first game with the Americans. Eberle played with Moose Jaw of the Western Hockey League this season, where he scored 33 goals and had 56 points. Garrett Clarke lit the lamp for a second game in a row for Allen, his 4th of the year, on the power play from Arseneau and Schaafsma. Chad Costello added his 36th with the man advantage from Asuchak and Arseneau.
The Americans outshot Missouri 38-17 for the game and 31-9 over the final two periods. The Americans went two-for-seven on the power play, while Missouri went 0-2.
