PHN’s Best Shots of the Crab Pot: Terps down Georgetown in consolation game

ANNAPOLIS, Maryland – The final two games of the 39th annual U S Naval Academy Crab Pot Tournament took place on Saturday, February 13, 2016 at McMullen Ice Center in Annapolis Maryland. Game one was the Consolation game between the PHN_BSOG-200x133University of Maryland Terrapins and the Georgetown Hoyas. Game two would be contested between the Navy Midshipmen and the University of Maryland Baltimore County Retrievers.

Game one was won by the Maryland Terps with a final score of 5-2. Maryland opened the scoring in the first period and held a 1-0 lead after the first period. The second period saw the Terps take a commanding lead with four more goals including two within the first two minutes. UMD scored 3 more including two on the power play. Georgetown tried to make it close with a power play and a short handed goal in the third period. Georgetown ended up with 31 shots to 30 shots for Maryland.
