Pens rally past Columbus Update to follow

In Columbus, Sidney Crosby snapped a 2-2 tie late in the third period to help the Pittsburgh Penguins to a 3-2 win over the Blue Jackets on Sunday.

Casey DeSmith made 32 saves in the Pens win.

Pittsburgh trailed, 2-1, heading to the third period, Evgeni Malkin tied the game, 2-2, before Crosby’s goal.

Jack Roslovic  and Oliver Bjorkstrand were the Columbus strikers.

Chad Ruhwedel also scored for Pittsburgh. his goal tied the game, 1-1.

The Penguins improved to 33-14-8.

The Blue Jackets dropped to 27-25-1.

Elvis Merzlikins made 37 saves in the Jackets loss.
