Pavelski gives Dallas 2-1 win over Flyers in OT Flyers rally with two goals in 47 seconds to force OT - Update to follow

In Dallas, Joe Pavelski  scored midway through extra time on Saturday to give the Stars a 5-4 win over the visiting Philadelphia Flyers on Saturday.

Scott Wedgewood made 36 saves in the win.

Travis Konecny hit for two shorthanded goals for the Flyers, his first came in the third period to trim the Dallas lead, at the time, to 4-3.

Just 47 seconds later, Sean Walker hit for a shorthanded goal to tie the game at 4-4, at 12:45.

The two-goal outburst forced the extra session.

Wyatt Johnston and Tyler Seguin scored for Dallas in the opening frame to stake the Stars to a 2-0 lead by 7:52.

Joel Farabee scored midway through the first to get the Flyers within 2-1, and Konecny hit for his first shorthanded goal at 16:35.

The Stars then took a two-goal lead on a strike by Roope Hintz with 30 seconds gone in the middle frame.

Jamie Benn scored midway through the third period for a 4-2 lead before the Flyers rallied late.

Samuel Ersson made 20 saves in the loss.
