“[Reimer] was huge. He bailed us out. He made a lot of great saves,” Florida’s Keith Yandle said. “Our goaltending has been amazing this year. When we were missing guys, they were stealing games for us and they continue to do the same.”

Andrew Cogliano scored the lone Ducks goal on a shorthanded situation.

“We turned the puck over way too many times and we fed their offense with our inability to execute with the puck. They turned the game in their favor by us gifting them puck to them,” Anaheim head coach Randy Carlyle said.

Colton Sceviour, Jaromir Jagr and Aaron Ekblad scored for the Panthers.

“As a line, we felt pretty confident,” Sceviour said. “We won the puck, created some turnovers and supported each other, which created a lot of chances throughout the game.”

John Gibson took the loss on 27 saves.

“It’s a poised group on the bench. We don’t usually get too panicked. That’s where Jagr comes in and Derek MacKenzie, the veteran guys, they keep the young kids calm,” Florida head coach Tom Rowe said.

Derek MacKenzie closed out the scoring with a shortie as time was winding down.
