Panthers down Sabres, 4-1 Update to follow

In Buffalo, the Sabres were sleep walking through most of their match with the Florida Panthers on Monday afternoon.

The Panthers built a 3-0 lead on goals in each period before the Sabres found the back of the net.

Matthew Tkachuk had three assist in the Florida win.

The Panthers improved to 21-20-4.

Sergei Bobrovsky made 28 saves in the Panthers win.

Alex Tuch was the lone striker for the Sabres, his third period goal came after the Panthers had scored in the third for a 3-0 advantage.

The Panthers took a 1-0 lead in the first period on a strike from Brandon Montour.

Buffalo dropped to 21-19-2.

Sam Bennett pushed the lead to 2-0 at 8:04 of the middle frame.

The Panthers scored with 34 seconds of fresh ice used in the third period on a marker from Anton Lundell.

Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen made 30 saves in the Sabres loss.
