STOCKTON, Calif. – The San Jose Barracuda earned the points in the road and home weekend series against the Stockton Heat with 6-4 and 4-2 wins over the weekend.
Friday night’s game in Stockton was led by Alexander True and Dylan Gambrell, each with a pair of goals. The Heat’s Jon Gillies struggled early in the game, and despite being replaced by Tyler Parsons, they were not able to put together enough goals to make the difference. The Heat’s attempt to comeback was led off the sticks of Juuso Valimaki and Dillon Dube.
San Jose’s goaltender, Josef Korenar, earned the win with 32 saves for the 6-4 game winner.
On Saturday, at SAP Center in San Jose, Kyle Wood, Evan Weinger, Cavan Fitzgerald and Jonathon Martin each scored for the Barracuda in the 4-2 win over Stockton.
Anthony Peluso and Spencer Foo scored the only two goals for the Heat.
