Ontario, CA – The Ontario Reign, proud American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate of the Los Angeles Kings of the National Hockey League (NHL), announced today that the team has agreed to terms with forward Matthew Marcinew.
Marcinew, 23, spent the last four seasons at the University of Denver and helped the school capture the NCAA Championship last season. The Calgary, Alberta, native collected 64 points (29 goals, 35 assists) over four seasons including a career-best 22 points (10 goals, 12 assists) last year.
With a blue-collar work ethic, Marcinew centered Denver’s second line and was leaned upon for key face offs, power-play production and served as a primary penalty killer.
