All-Star Game in Indianapolis East 5, West 4 Indianapolis, Indiana – In a spectacular overtime matchup, Indiana Ice defenseman Nick Bailen scored the game winning goal in overtime to give the East Division the win. Sioux Falls 8, Youngstown 1 Youngstown, Ohio – The Stampede did not necessarily outplay the Phantoms, they merely earned more from their shots. Youngstown struggled through the first period making a goalie change midway through to no avail. Despite the lopsided score, Youngstown would not lose their fight as several would break out throughout the second period. Yet it would be Jacob Johnstone, Matt Lindblad, and Michael Voran that would gain the most each contributing three points to Sioux Falls winning effort.
Cedar Rapids 3, Lincoln 2 Lincoln, Nebraska – Cedar Rapids would pick up the win in the shootout beating Lincoln 2-0. The RoughRiders Sam Warning would score the game tying goal and the game winning goal of the shootout to lead Cedar Rapids.
Fargo 9, Tri-City 1 Kearney, Nebraska – In the second rout of the evening, things were not quite what they seemed yet again. The Storm played evenly with Fargo who forced their shots with a little more success. John Stampohar, Nate Condon, and Marek Hrbas led the Force with three points apiece to give Fargo its 25th win this season.
Green Bay 5, Omaha 4 Omaha, Nebraska – Two division leaders, very similar records, historically successful franchises, Anders Lee. Yup, the Gamblers Anders Lee was the difference maker as he would record a natural hat trick for Green Bay to defeat Omaha on the Lancers home ice and take over the number one position in the USHL.
Sioux City 5, Des Moines 3 Des Moines, Iowa – Stephan Vigier led the Musketeers with two points to record his 30th points this season. The 19 year old Notre Dame, Manitoba native is committed to attending Northern Michigan University next season. The win is the 17th this season for Sioux City who has slowly started to gain some ground in the West Division standings.
