PAPILLION, NE – Friday night featured game two in the USHL West Division playoff schedule as Omaha would travel to Kearney to play Tri-City and Sioux Falls traveled to Fargo. Both games offered plenty of action as Sioux Falls and Tri-City would fight to tie their respected series and not go down two games facing elimination in the best of five series.
Omaha verse Tri-City Omaha 5, Tri-City 4 Omaha leads 2-0 Stefan Demopoulos and Dennis Brown scored two goals apiece for Omaha to place the Lancers up two games on the Storm. Matt White contributed a pair of assists and Erik Haula added three assists of his own to aid in Omaha’s comeback win in overtime. Seth Ambroz recorded one point all night, but it was the only one to matter as his overtime goal lifted Omaha to the victory.
Fargo verse Sioux Falls Fargo 7, Sioux Falls 6 Fargo leads 2-0 Chase Grant and Corey Leivermann led the Force with three points apiece. Each player scored twice and added an assist as Fargo overtook Sioux Falls in the third period scoring four times. Matt Leitner and Nate Condon added two points each for Fargo to solidify the win for the Force.
