Oilers lead series 2-1 Talbot earns second shutout in as many games

STOCKTON, Calif. – The San Jose Sharks fell to the Edmonton Oilers in game three of the first round, by a final score of 1-0.

The single goal came during the third period, when Zack Kassian scored at 10:45.  His backhanded shot from the slot beat Martin Jones in the San Jose Net.

The Sharks pulled Martin in the final seconds of the game, but were not able to get any traction.

The shots on goal were fairly close, 23-22 in the favor of the Sharks, but Cam Talbot gets the win with the 1-0 shutout; his second in the playoffs.

Game four will be Tuesday, April 18 in San Jose.
