The home opener for Tulsa Oiler hockey fans finally arrived, October 20th, 2022. The crowd were rowdy and anxious for the game to begin.
Although the game wasn’t scheduled to begin until 7:05pm, people began arriving at the BOK Center as early as 5 o’clock.

This win gave coach Rob Murray his 400th regular season win in the ECHL. His team outshot Allen (8-11-11) in 30 shots, to Allen’s (4-7-10) in 21 shots. Still, the game was tight because of the persistence of Allen’s netminder, Luke Peressini.

The Oilers began the night with a goal by Evan Weinger on a two-line pass from Karl Boudrias. Jimmy Soper scored again 14 seconds into the third period. Allen’s Liam Finlay brought his team back with a goal and then Zach Porchiro gave Allen a third.

Tulsa’s Dylan Sadowy gave the Oilers their winning goal at 12:33 in the third period.
