TULSA, OK — The Tulsa Oilers, proud ECHL Affiliate of the NHL’s Anaheim Ducks, announced Friday the signing of forward Jordan Ernst.
Ernst, 24, spent last season in the SPHL with Pensacola, registering 18 points (11 goals, 7 assists) in 42 games with the Ice Flyers.
“Jordan brings size to the lineup,” Head Coach Rob Murray said of his new signing. “He experienced playing in this league two years ago when he was on a two-way deal with Calgary. Coming off a championship with Pensacola, I except him to bring a solid work ethic and game to the team.”
Ernst made his pro debut during the 2018-19, playing one game with Calgary’s AHL affiliate, the Stockton heat. The 6’1″, 204 lbs. forward played 51 games with Kansas City that season, logging 14 points (5 goals, 9 assists) in 51 games with the Mavs.
Prior to turning pro, Ernst spent one season with Bowling Green University before joining Sarnia of the OHL. The Mokena, IL native compiled 83 points (35 goals, 48 assists) in 135 games with the Sting.
The Oilers kick off the 2021-22 season with a Friday night road tilt against the Rapid City Rush on October 22nd.
