In London, Ontario, the Knights and the Ontario Hockey League released brief statements on the passing of 18-year old center, Abakar Kazbekov, on Saturday morning.Few details were known as of late Saturday evening.
One report through CTV News of London said he had fallen from an apartment building window.
“Abakar has been a valued member of the team since 2021,” Knights officials said. “Our thoughts are with his family, friends and teammates.”
Kazbekov, a Moscow, Russia, native, has been with the Knights since the start of the 2021 season.

CTS News reported that the London Police Service (LPS) Major Crime Section was investigating the scene.
“The investigation is still in its early stages and it’s been handed over to our Major Crime Section for further investigation,” said LPS Const. Travis Buckle in a CTS News report.
