Drew O’Connor signed a two-year, $1.85 million contract with the Pittsburgh Penguins on Wednesday. It has an average annual value of $925,000.
The 25-year-old forward was a restricted free agent and avoided a salary arbitration hearing scheduled for Friday.
O’Connor had 11 points (five goals, six assists) in 46 regular-season games for the Penguins last season.
Signed by Pittsburgh as an undrafted free agent March 10, 2020, O’Connor has 17 points (eight goals, nine assists) in 78 regular-season games and no points in two Stanley Cup Playoff games.
