UNITED KINGDOM – Solway Sharks opened up a four-point lead at the top of Moralee D1 after recording wins against Nottingham Lions and Widnes Wild.
Iain Bowie (2) led the way in an 8-2 home victory over the Lions, while Ross Murray bagged a brace in the Sharks’ 5-2 success at Widnes Wild.
Jordan Barnes, Harry Harley and Callum Queenan were on target for Whitley Warriors in their 3-1 win at Sheffield Scimitars.
The Scimitars were also out of luck the following day as they lost 3-0 at Nottingham – Toby Fisher, Louie Newell and Zachary Yokoyama were on the scoresheet.
Solihull Barons triumphed 4-2 at Billingham Stars – Marcus Maynard, Richard Slater, Niklas Ottosson and Thomas Soar got the goals.
The top two teams in Laidler D2 maintained their respective title challenges with comfortable home victories over the weekend.
Lucas Price and Ollie Hunt weighed in with hat-tricks as Telford Tigers 2 recorded an emphatic 10-0 win against Sutton Sting.
Sheffield Titans kept up the pressure at the top of the table with a 7-2 success against Nottingham Lions 2 – William Newcombe (3) and Tate Shudra (2) topped their scoring.
Hull Jets remain nicely tucked in behind the leading teams following their 7-1 home victory over Bradford Bulldogs – Ryan Kemp (2) was amongst the scorers.
Coventry NIHL Blaze continued their recent improvement in form with an impressive 6-1 win at home to Altrincham Aces.
Aberdeen Lynx still lead the way in the Scottish National League after recording a pair of 4-2 victories over Dundee Tigers and North Ayrshire Wild.
Paisley Pirates remain second in the table following a 4-1 home win over Kirkcaldy Kestrels, while Dundee Comets triumphed 8-3 at home to Belfast SNL Giants.
The Giants enjoyed better fortunes the previous day as they secured a 10-8 victory at Kilmarnock Thunder – Carter Hamill (3) led their scoring.
