PHN’s top two talking points
Tigers 2 make a big statement
Telford Tigers 2 kicked-off their season with two impressive victories in D2 over the weekend.
The Tigers smashed 21 goals against two sides who were expected to be challenging towards the top of the table.
The Shropshire side finished in the top four last season, but if they can maintain this sort of form they will be a force to reckoned with this term.
Hajek could be the difference for Wild
Widnes Wild were fancied to win promotion last season, but inconsistency ultimately cost them their chance of top spot.
Wild’s performance against previously unbeaten Bradford on Sunday showed that this may be the year they finally get the job done.
Jakub Hajek bagged a dramatic winner against the Bulldogs and the former Altrincham forward could be the difference-maker for the club this season.
