ENGLAND, UK – Hull Pirates are the new leaders of Moralee D1 after rattling off three impressive victories in four days.
The Pirates demolished Sheffield Steeldogs 13-2 on home ice and followed up with 10-4 and 9-5 wins in their weekend double-header against Solway Sharks.
Telford Tigers enjoyed a four-point weekend, winning 10-2 at home to Blackburn Hawks and 17-1 at Nottingham Lions.
Sheffield bounced back from their mauling at Hull with an 8-2 win at Billingham Stars and they followed up with a 7-0 home success against Sutton Sting.
Billingham lost 3-0 at Blackburn, while Whitley Warriors ran out 11-3 winners at Sutton.
Widnes Wild moved a step closer to the Laidler D2 title with a 6-2 victory at Altrincham Aces – Ollie Barron (2) and Mike Mawer (2) topped their scoring.
Sheffield Senators’ hopes of a top four finish were dealt a blow as they fell 5-4 after overtime at Deeside Dragons.
Blackburn Hawks 2 are still without a win this season after losing 7-1 at home to Coventry Blaze NIHL and 6-2 at Telford Tigers 2.
