PHN’s top two talking points
Passionate Davies a breath of fresh air
Ice hockey fans love players who remain loyal to the team they play for and it’s fair to say that Blackburn’s Aaron Davies falls into that category.
The long-serving forward spoke with passion about the Hawks during an interview on BBC Radio Lancashire last week and he clearly feels passionately about the club.
If the opportunity ever arose in the future, Davies comes across as the ideal man to invigorate an organisation that appears to be in need of a lift.
Billingham fans getting value for money
Billingham’s victory over Blackburn on Sunday snapped a three-game losing streak in all competitions and will have settled a few nerves around the Forum.
The Stars weren’t at their best against the Hawks, but the result should set them up nicely for what looks a favourable run of fixtures over the next couple of weeks.
One thing Billingham fans can’t complain about is a lack of entertainment, with their six league and cup games this term yielding a staggering 80 goals.
