PHN’s top two talking points
Sharks impress despite mixed results
Solway started their D1 fixtures with a defeat against Sheffield on Saturday, but their performance will have pleased head coach Martin Grubb.
The Sharks matched the visitors for much of the game, before succumbing to late goals by Ben Morgan and Milan Kolena.
Grubb’s side bounced back with a deserved victory in the cup at Blackburn the following day and they look set to enjoy a fruitful campaign.
Ex-NIHL quartet aiming to make a difference
Former NIHL players Nick Whyatt, Chris Colegate, Adam Robinson and Mark Corfield are taking part in the Robin Hood Half Marathon later this month in aid of a Midlands-based children’s charity.
The Rainbows Hospice is an organisation that provides fantastic support to children through difficult circumstances and they have recently been helping the Colegate family.
