NIHL North round-up: Sharks maintain their advantage, Slater bags treble for Barons

ENGLAND, UK – Solway Sharks maintained their three-point lead at the top of Moralee D1 with an 8-2 home victory over Billingham Stars – Marcus Murdoch (2), Peter Gapa (2) and Ewan Anderson (2).

Billingham were unable to bounce back the following evening as they slipped to an 8-3 home defeat against Whitley Warriors.

Richard Slater weighed in with a hat-trick as Solihull Barons triumphed 9-3 at home to Sutton Sting.

Bradford Bulldogs are still top of Laidler D2 after recording a 2-1 win at Deeside Dragons – Dean Boothroyd grabbed the deciding goal.

Hull Jets remain one point behind the Bulldogs following their 4-1 home victory over Deeside.

Jordan Jolly (5) and Brandon Anderton (4) were amongst the scorers for Telford Tigers 2 as they raced to a 27-0 win at home to Blackburn Hawks 2.

In the NIHL Midlands Cup, Sutton Sting won 9-0 on home ice against Widnes Wild and Blackburn Hawks secured a 5-3 success at Nottingham Lions.
