ENGLAND, UK – Sheffield Steeldogs progressed to the final of the Moralee D1 play-offs after a thrilling victory over Telford Tigers.
The Steeldogs recovered from a 3-2 first leg deficit to level the tie at 5-5 on aggregate at the end of regular time in the reverse fixture.
James Spurr’s overtime goal clinched the victory to send the Yorkshire side through to the final.
Hull Pirates eased through their semi-final, winning 17-6 on aggregate against Whitley Warriors.
In addition to qualifying for the regional final, Sheffield and Hull have also booked their place at the Final Four Weekend in Coventry alongside Peterborough Phantoms and Bracknell Bees.
Widnes Wild completed their regular season fixtures in Laidler D2 with a comprehensive 16-5 home victory over Deeside Dragons.
Callum Bowley (2) topped the scoring for Telford Tigers 2 as they ran out 4-2 winners at Bradford Bulldogs.
Daniel Mulcahy weighed in with a couple of goals for Coventry Blaze NIHL in their 6-3 home victory over Altrincham Aces.
