ENGLAND, UK – Solway Sharks moved back to the top of Moralee D1 after picking up four points over the weekend.
Peter Gapa (2) and Jaakko Heiskanen (2) topped the scoring as the Sharks won 9-3 at home to Sutton Sting.
Martin Grubb’s side followed up with a 5-4 victory at Billingham Stars the following day – Gapa weighed in with another double.
Dean Holland (2), Phil Edgar and Ben Campbell got the goals as Whitley Warriors ran out 4-2 winners on home ice against Solihull Barons.
Laidler D2 leaders Bradford Bulldogs returned to winning ways with a 6-3 home victory over Sheffield Senators – Josh Stockton (3) led their scoring.
Vlads Vulkanovs bagged at hat-trick for Altrincham Aces as they secured an impressive 6-3 win at Hull Jets.
Widnes Wild had a mixed weekend, winning 5-2 at Telford Tigers 2 before falling 4-2 at home to Deeside Dragons.
Aaron Davies (4) led the way for Blackburn Hawks as they triumphed 11-0 on home ice against Nottingham Lions in the NIHL Midlands Cup.
